Meet the Founders: The Creative Pulse Behind SoIndigo LLC

Every movement begins with a story.
And at the heart of SoIndigo, that story starts with two creatives, deeply rooted in the world of performing arts — and driven by a calling to inspire, uplift, and re-awaken creativity in every generation.

This is the first post in our weekly series exploring the beauty, struggle, and brilliance of the performing arts — through stories, spotlights, videos, and more. But first, we want to introduce ourselves — the humans behind the Indigo.

Who We Are: The Founders of SoIndigo LLC

SoIndigo LLC was co-founded by Zarida Teel and Aliza-Janae DeSouza, two diverse performers, creators, and visionaries. Between us, we’ve danced on stages, taught in classrooms, worked on film and television productions, both behind the camera and in front, written scripts, and cried in dressing rooms — all in service of an art form that moves the soul.

  • Over 15 years in modern and African dance

  • Trained in vocal performance and musical theater

  • Performed in a national tour production showcased on Broadway

  • Directed community creative arts showcases and developed creative workshops

  • Performed alongside Industry artists and entertainers

Why SoIndigo?

The name SoIndigo isn’t just a vibe — it’s a mission. Indigo is a color of intuition, freedom, and deep feeling — much like the creative energy that flows through a stage performance or a spontaneous moment of expression.

We created SoIndigo to:

  • Elevate underrepresented voices in dance, theatre, and expression

  • Provide safe space for multigenerational creativity

  • Inspire weekly with reflections, spotlights, and movement challenges

  • Offer meaningful products and services for creators

What to Expect Each Week

Every Saturday, we’ll publish a new blog exploring a different part of the performing arts — from movement and music to monologues and mental wellness.

Each post includes:

  • Embedded media inspiration

  • Creative “Try This” prompts

  • Artist reflections or interviews

  • A comment space to connect and share

This blog is our open studio — a place where creativity and conversation intertwine. Here, you’ll find behind-the-scenes insights, creative brand perspectives, artistic inspiration, and thoughtful reflections from within the SoIndigo community. Whether you’re a creative, a brand builder, or a curious soul, consider this your space to pause, explore, and be inspired.

Welcome to the collective.

Welcome to SoIndigo — where creativity lives in full color.

SoIndigo is more than a company. It’s a call to create. To express. To feel deeply again.

Blog Post Title Two

It all begins with an idea.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
